- The union government announced that it has extended its support for the Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products (RoDTEP) plan until June 30, 2024.
- The RoDTEP Scheme was introduced by the government as a duty remission scheme for exports and is being implemented from 1 January 2021.
- The plan establishes a method for reimbursing taxes, tariffs, and levies that are currently not repaid under any other mechanism at the federal, state, and municipal levels, but are incurred by export firms throughout the manufacturing and distribution of exported goods.
