Interview is a test of candidate’s overall personality which includes analytical ability, lateral thinking, logical decision making etc. The objective of the interview is to assess the personal suitability of the candidate for a career in public service by a board of competent and unbiased observers. The test is intended to judge the mental caliber of a candidate. In broad terms, this is really an assessment of not only his/her intellectual qualities but also social traits and his/her interest in current affairs. Some of the qualities to be judged are mental alertness, critical powers of assimilation, clear and logical exposition, balance of judgment, variety and depth of interest, ability for social cohesion and leadership, intellectual and moral integrity.
At Raman Academy we conduct Four Interview Skills & Personality Development Sessions and Two Mock Interviews with video recording for self evaluation
Interview Skills & Personality Development session is a holistic module where we discuss important current affairs, identify strength and weakness of an aspiring officer and channelize their efforts in right direction.DAF (Detailed Application Form) based possible range of questions and situation discussions are conducted. Interaction and detailed performance evaluation is done to improve their soft skills, dressing sense, voice modulation helping them to get ready for the final interview and create a positive first impression.
Two Mock Interviews (with video recording for self evaluation)
Our aim is to provide a real life simulation within a formal setting similar to the Personality Test at the public service commission. A candidate is asked questions on his/her bio-data (including extra-curricular activities, prizes, medals and scholarships won during school and college days, hobbies, sports, jobs held, knowledge of his State, etc.) current national and international affairs, on some hypothetical situations to test the candidate’s mental alertness, balance of judgment, moral integrity, leadership skills and on his subjects of study.
After the mock sittings a candidate is given a fair and candid assessment of his/her performance with suggestions for improvement. Also a video recording will be provided to assess and reflect on his/her performance.
