The NITI Aayog and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) are set to devise a structure to enhance collaboration across multiple domains, aiming to assist India in reaching its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
An MoU was signed between the two entities to solidify their partnership, encompassing areas like SDG localization, data-informed monitoring, and focus on aspirational districts and blocks.
This pact is set to last for five years. NITI Aayog stands as the central body in India for orchestrating and overseeing SDG implementation and tracking both nationally and regionally.
Meanwhile, within the UN system, UNDP acts as a linchpin, coordinating initiatives to hasten progress on the SDGs.
