- On World Coconut Day, September 2, the Central Plantation Crops Research Institute (CPCRI) in Kasaragod, Kerala, will sign six memoranda of agreement (MoA) for knowledge transfer, including with a farmer producer firm and a nursery in Karnataka.
- An agreement will be signed with YGP Coconut Farmers’ Producer Company Ltd., Davangere, for the transfer of technology related to the collection of fresh and hygienic Kalparasa and the production of natural coconut sugar, according to K.B. Hebbar, Director of the institute under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).
