Uttarakhand tableau wins first prize in Republic Day parade by a panel of judges

Uttarakhand has been adjudged the best state/UT tableau by a panel of judges, while Gujarat has won an online public poll conducted by MyGov.
The best marching contingents and tableaux of the Republic Day Parade 2023, have been announced with separate results- one by a panel of judges and the other through an online public vote.
Twenty-three tableaux -17 from states/union territories and six from various ministries/departments shown on the day, depicted the nation’s rich cultural heritage, economic progress, and strong internal and external security while rolling down the Kartavya Path during the Republic Day parade on January 26, 2023.
In the foreground of the tableau, reindeer, deer, and various birds were shown roaming in the world-famous Corbett National Park. The central part of the tableau depicted the state animal of Uttarakhand, musk deer, national bird peacock, and ghoral.
Jageshwar Dham, a group of 125 small and big ancient temples in Manaskhand’s Almora district, and popular deodar trees were shown in the rear part of the tableau.
“The best marching contingents and tableaux of Republic Day Parade 2023 have been announced. Separate results one by a panel of judges and other through an online public vote conducted by MyGov have been declared,” the ministry said.
