- RRR’s “Naatu Naatu” has won the Oscar for Best Original Song at the 95th Academy Awards. The song ‘Naatu Naatu’ became the second Indian song to win the award.
- Drawing inspiration from the lives of freedom fighters Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitarama Raju, RRR narrates a fictional tale set in the 1920s.
- The film boasts an ensemble cast, starring the likes of Jr NTR, Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Olivia Morris, Samuthirakani, Alison Doody, and Ray Stevenson.
- The lyrics of the song were penned by Chandrabose, music by MM Keeravani and it was performed by Kaal Bhairav and Rahul Sipliganj. Some of Chandrabose’s most popular songs include ‘Srivalli’ from ‘Pushpa: The Rise’, ‘Nenunnani’ from ‘Nenunnanu’.
- The award was first received by music composer AR Rahman and lyricist Gulzar in 2009 for ‘Jai Ho’ from British director Danny Boyle’s film ‘Slumdog Millionaire’.
