- The 10-day Taj Mahotsav was officially launched on February 20 in Agra by Uttar Pradesh State Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyay.
- A total of 300 artisans from several states and union territories including Jammu and Kashmir, West Bengal, Bihar, and Himachal Pradesh are participating in the event this year.
- The carnival is also scheduled to host concerts and fun activities each day. World-renowned artists such as Indian Ocean, Amit Mishra, Maithili Thakur, and Harshdeep Kaur will take to the stage to mesmerize audiences with their musical prowess.
- The festival is also hosting over 400 acclaimed artisans from across the country, who will set up stalls selling local wares from their region.
- These include wood and stone carvings from Tamil Nadu, bamboo and cane work from the Northeast, marble, and zardozi from Agra, traditional chikan work from Lucknow, and carpets and shawls from Kashmir, to name a few.
