Ravneet Kaur, a 1988 batch IAS officer of Punjab cadre, has been appointed as the chairperson of the Competition Commission of India (CCI).
Apart from his postgraduation degree in Economics, she has vast experience having served in various Economic Ministries of the Central Government over the last 15 years.
Ravneet Kaur has been serving the state cadre (Punjab) since July 2019 after her tenure as the Chairman and Managing Director of India Tourism Development Corporation (2017- 19).
There is no full-time chairperson for the competition regulator since Ashok Kumar Gupta left office in October 2022.
