Olympic gold medal winner Neeraj Chopra has secured victory with 88.67 m throw at Doha Diamond League 2023

Neeraj Chopra won the gold medal in the season-opening Doha Diamond League with a world leading and career fourth best throw of 89.94 metres.
India’s Olympic gold medalist won the Doha Diamond League by a margin of 0.04 metres.
While silver medalist Jakub Vadlejch of Czech Republic threw a throw of 88.63m in the second round.
Neeraj created history by winning the Diamond League trophy last year.
Reigning world champion Anderson Peters of Granada, who won the event here last year with a monster throw of 93.07m, finished third with a modest best of 85.88m.
It was the second time that Neeraj Chopra won a Diamond League meeting in his career. His first win came last year in Lausanne.
Last year, Neeraj Chopra became the first Indian athlete to become the Diamond League champion by winning the Grand Final in Zurich in September.
