The University of Texas at Dallas has conferred Indian industrialist Naveen Jindal with a lifetime achievement award for his accomplishments in industry, politics and education.
An alumnus of the University of Texas at Dallas’ 1992 batch, Jindal received the award in a ceremony held there on March 25.
Jindal is the second person after eminent Nobel Laureate Aziz Sankar to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award from the University of Texas at Dallas.

Former Member of Parliament and a graduate of the University of Texas at Dallas, Naveen Jindal has been recognized for his achievements as a student leader and awarded the Student Leader Award during his time at the university.
He received the Distinguished Alumni Award in 2010.
In 2011, the university re-christened its School of Management as Naveen Jindal School of Management in honor of his immense success as one of its most distinguished alumni.

The Lifetime Achievement Award is presented to those whose contributions have positively impacted society.
Jindal's contributions in industry, politics, and education have transformed the university and inspired others to achieve excellence.
