Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced the implementation of the Laadli Bahna Yojana on the occasion of Narmada Jayanti.
Through this scheme, ₹ 1000 per month will be given to the sisters of poor and middle-class families of Madhya Pradesh.
The scheme will be available for poor and lower-middle-class women of the state, without any discrimination of caste or category.
The scheme aims to provide financial support to sisters, regardless of their class, backward class, scheduled caste, or tribal group.
The funds will be deposited monthly into the recipients' accounts, allowing them to achieve financial independence.
The estimated cost of the scheme in five years is approximately Rs. 60,000 crores.
The state had previously implemented the successful Ladli Laxmi Yojna and Ladli Laxmi Yojna 2, and now the Ladli Bahna Yojana aims to empower the state's underprivileged women.
