- The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) launched 36 OneWeb satellites toward low-Earth orbit on Sunday, March 26, at 9:00 am IST.
- The satellites were launched aboard ISRO’s largest rocket LVM3 (Launch Vehicle Mark III), from the second launch pad at Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota, as part of the OneWeb India-2 Mission.
- OneWeb India-1 mission, the first collaboration between OneWeb, ISRO, and NSIL, launched 36 satellites to low-Earth orbit on October 23, 2022.
- This is the second mission for Britain’s One Webb Group; with this launching the UK firm’s first generation (Gen-1) Low Earth Orbit (LEO) constellation is complete. OneWeb is a major investor in Bharti Enterprises.
- This LVM3 rocket placed 36 first-generation satellites weighing 5,805 kg into a circular orbit of 450 km with an inclination of about 87.4 degrees.
