- Telangana government (Govt) launched ‘Telangana State Robotics Framework’, a firstofitskind policy in India, to provide a roadmap for the state to create a sustainable robotic ecosystem and be a leading state in the field of robotics.
- Telangana state will also launch a Robotics Accelerator for startups so that they will be able to accelerate their business with the required infrastructure, market knowledge, authorisation support, investor links and much more for their venture.
- On the occasion, the state also signed MoUs with five organizations including educational institutions, industry associations and incubators.
- The new framework has been developed by the Emerging Technologies Wing of the ITE&C Department of Telangana in collaboration with the All India Robotics Association.
- The Emerging Technologies Wing was established in the year 2017 by the Government of Telangana. This wing was developed to revolutionize the IT and robotics industry.
- Under this it will leverage robotics technology in agriculture, healthcare, industrial automation and consumer robotics, setting up a robo park and a robotics accelerator to provide startups with necessary infrastructure, authorization support, market insights, investor connect and mentorship support will be established.
