  • The government has tightened the transparency standards for limited liability partnerships (LLPs), which must now keep a registry of partners containing information on their beneficial interests and both tangible and intangible contributions.
  • According to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs’ (MCA) Limited Liability Partnership (Third Amendment) Rules, 2023, even new LLPs must keep such a register at their registered offices within 30 days of creation.
  • On October 28, the new rules went into effect.
