- India and New Zealand have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen civil aviation cooperation.
- This will include new route scheduling, codeshare services, traffic lights, and capacity entitlement.
- The Memorandum of Understanding was signed in New Delhi by Civil Aviation Secretary Rajiv Bansal and New Zealand High Commissioner David Pine.
- The MoU states that selected New Zealand airlines may run any number of services with any type of aircraft, with third and fourth freedom traffic rights to and from six Indian cities: New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Kolkata.
