- According to the “2022 Hurun Global 500,” a ranking of the 500 most valuable non-state- controlled companies in the world, 20 Indian companies are among the 500 most valuable in the world. India moved to 5th place in 2022 list whereas it ranked 9th position in 2021 with with 8 companies.
- According to the list, Reliance Industries is the most valuable company (with a US$ 202 billion valuation), followed by Tata Consultancy Services and HDFC Bank (with US$ 139 billion and US$ 97 billion valuations, respectively).
- The US topped the 2022 Hurun Global 500 list, whereas China ranked second with 35 companies, and was followed by Japan, UK, India and Canada.
- 4 companies of Adani Group have also made it to the list. These companies are; Adani Transmission, Adani Green Energy, Adani Enterprises and Adani Total Gas.
