- The Geological Survey of India Training Institute (GSITI) in Hyderabad has entered into a memorandum of understanding with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in Bengaluru under the National Natural Resources Management System program.

The primary objective of this collaboration is to enhance capabilities by creating a skilled workforce trained in the use of digital image processing and GIS for mineral exploration, advanced remote sensing methods in mineral discovery, and the application of geo-informatics for disaster management.
