France’s highest civilian award receives by Tata Group Chairman N Chandrasekaran

  • Tata Sons Chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran was honoured with the prestigious “Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur” (Knight of the Legion of Honour) by French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Catherine Colonna.
  • The French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Catherine Colonna, presented the award to Chandrasekaran on behalf of the French President.
  • Earlier this year, Tata Group-owned Air India signed a multi-billiondollar deal with Airbus to buy 250 aircraft from Airbus, including 210 A320neo aircraft and 40 A350 aircraft.
  • In December last year, Tata Technologies inaugurated its innovation center in Toulouse, France to meet the new age product engineering and digital requirements of the global aerospace and defense sector.
  • Chandrasekaran was appointed chairman of Tata Sons in 2017, taking over from Cyrus Mistry, and was given a second term in the role for five years in February 2022.
  • He launched the group’s super app – Tata New last year.
