Bangladesh-US joint naval exercise ‘Tiger Shark 40’

The ‘Tiger Shark 40’ Joint Bangladesh-US Naval drill Exercise commenced at BNS Nirvik in Chattogram.
The main aim of the exercise is to enhance the strategic capabilities of both countries and promote mutual exchange of technical and procedural knowledge.
The objective of the exercise is to increase strategic capabilities of both the countries and to acquire mutual technical and procedural knowledge.
It is being undertaken to improve the existing good relations between the armed forces of the two countries.
On the opening day of the exercise, Rear Admiral Abdullah Al Mamoon Chaudhry, Regional Commander, Chattogram Naval Area was present as the Chief Guest.
Representatives from the Embassy of the United States of America in Bangladesh participated in the exercise. Officers from Armed Forces Department, Army, Navy and Chattogram Naval Area and invited guests were present in the exercise.
