- The Andaman and Nicobar Command conducted joint military exercises ‘KAVACH’ involving assets of the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard.
- The weaponry and equipment of the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard were utilized by the soldiers participating in ‘EX-KAVACH.’
- The primary objective of this joint service exercise was to enhance the coordination and joint warfighting capabilities of the various services.
Joint military exercise ‘KAVACH’ :-
- The previous exercise was conducted in January 2021.
- The exercise included various operations, such as amphibious assaults, maritime air assaults and maneuvers at sea, with the deployment of naval warships and various aircraft.
- The exercise also focused on joint activities for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.
- The aim of the exercise was to validate India’s capability to defend its island territories and conduct joint operations with synergy during real combat scenarios.
