- The Kala Ghoda Arts Festival began on 4th February and will go on till 12th February 2023. The Kala Ghoda Arts Festival is Asia’s biggest multicultural festival. The festival is happening after a break of two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
- The venues for this year’s festival include K Dubash Marg or Rampart Row, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sagrahalay, YB Chavan Centre, Cross Maidan, Cooperage Bandstand, National Gallery of Modern Art, Max Mueller Bhavan, Kitab Khana, IF.BE, Ministry of New, Café Knead, Smoke House Deli, Sequel, Ideal Corner, Blue Tokai, and I45 Kalaghoda, to name a few.
- There will be a heritage bus ride, workshops on robotics, archaeology, cinema, theater, and many more events for people of all ages.
- The nine-day festival was established in the year 1999 and has grown to become one of the biggest street art festivals in India. It will be chock-a-block with visitors from across Mumbai and around the world.
- Kala Ghoda, the area, takes its name from the now-removed equestrian statue of King Edward VII of England, and is replaced by a majestic horse statue called the ‘Spirit of Kala Ghoda’.
