Shri Nek Ram Sharma, a farmer of karsog gets Padma Shri Award

  • President Droupadi Murmu had awarded Padma Shri to Nek Ram Sharma, a farmer of Nanj village in Karsog subdivision of Mandi district, in Delhi on April 5.
  • He has been conferred the award for reviving the traditional crop system of nine foodgrains.
  • Nekram Sharma has been associated with natural farming for the past 20 years and is working to revive the traditional cropping system of nine grains that are beneficial to health.
  • For this he will be awarded the Padma Shri award.
