- Rajendra Kumar, a 1992-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Tamil Nadu cadre, is currently an additional secretary in the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
- He has been appointed the DG of ESIC, an order issued by the Personnel Ministry.
- Employees’ State Insurance Corporation is one of the two main statutory social security bodies under the ownership of the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India, the other being the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation.
