- Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres launched ‘Mission LiFE’ (Lifestyle for Environment) at the Statue of Unity in Gujarat’s Ekta Nagar.
- At the launch of ‘Mission LiFE’ in Kevadia, PM Modi said, “The issue of climate change is being witnessed everywhere. Our glaciers are melting, rivers are drying up. Mission LIFE will help in fighting the climate crisis.”
- “A perception was created that climate change is merely a policy-related issue & that both governments or international institutions will take steps regarding it. But now, people are feeling the effects of climate change,” he said.
- PM Modi said that a bit of changing lifestyles can be of help to the environment.
