- Indian javelin thrower Devendra Jhajharia has clinched a silver medal in the World Para Athletics Grand Prix, in Morocco. Paralympics gold medalist Devendra threw the javelin to a distance of 60.97 meter to capture the silver.
- The event started in Morocco from September 15 and will go on till September 17.
- Devendra is a three-time Paralympics medalist.
- In the 2016 Summer Paralympics Games held in Rio de Janeiro, he won his second gold medal in the same event, breaking his earlier record. India put up their best ever performance in both the games, achieving phenomenal results.
- India won seven medals in the Olympics, while 19 medals, including five gold medals, in the Paralympics.
