- The Central government has announced that 10 percent reservation will be given to Ex-Agniveers in the BSF recruitment. In a notification issued by the Home Ministry, the government has amended the recruitment rules of the Border Security Force.
- These revised rules state that exAgniveers will be exempted from the physical efficiency test. The government has also announced that the upper age limit will be relaxed by five years for the candidates of the first batch of ex Agniveers and up to three years in the case of all other batches of exAgniveers.
- Reservation will be provided for demobilized Agniveers in Central Paramilitary Forces and Assam Rifles.
- The age limit specified for recruitment in CAPFs is 18-23 years. So any person who is enrolled as Agniveer in the age group of 17-22 years can be recruited in CAPF till they attain the age of 26 years.
